Well the last 25 minutes have showed me why i have an Iphone

Google's force feeding you to use their gmail, which is the worst email product on the market, has caused me to waste the last 25 minutes and have my chat disconnected.  Can i reach anyone to help no because my  Nest isn't set to a gmail account and the loop of support takes me to logging out of gmail to authorize them to look at the other account.

To use a Google Nest or Google Home device and the Google Home app a requirement is for you to have a Google account (Gmail address).

Apple make their users create an Apple ID for using their devices.
