When is Google going to correct the 'broken' link between Home/Away and Schedule?

Home/Away assist and Schedule do not work together which is a pretty dumb decision on the part of Nest.  Most people go out to work (and so Home/Away will be ideal) but then when they get home again, have a Scedule that turns the camera on when they go to sleep.   But if you have Home/Away ON then you are HOME and so the camera won't turn on !

Been like this ever since the camera came out.  So isn't it about time, Google, that you issued an update ?

Unfortunately, the only routine that I have found that include the new nest cameras is the Home/Away routine. I now have 6 of the Nest Cam floodlights, and I have set up the home and away routine, but the presence sensing is disabled, so basically I have to manually click the Home, or away to turn them all on or off respectfully, but at least it saves me from having to click on each camera to turn them on or off. Not a solution, but what I would really like to see is the ability to set up any routine, like the Sunrise/Sunset routine to turn them off or on. Being able to schedule them would be the most ideal, but sadly, that is no where in the Home App.

should also add that they messed up the Home/Away algorithm and did not give their customers (us) to decide for ourselves what balance we wanted in the Nest app between lower accuracy but longer battery life  OR  higher accuracy and shorter battery life.  Because where we are located the mobile reception is not very good.  Sometimes the phone will latch on to mast A situated at X and then if I wander round the garden, latch on to mast B situated at Y.  I move between Home and Away even though I'm in the same place !

It's an old problem but never updated and solved.

Actually, on the Nest Cams that I just bought, you can go under the camera settings, and then click on the battery setting, and you can set it for more recording, or more battery life, and much  more. You can also set the sensitivity (accuracy) as well. I may not understand what you mean. If you are talking about the presence sensing of your phone's location, and accuracy, that is a little different. Even if you have poor mobile reception, it should use your your internet at home for better accuracy, if you have Wi-Fi on, but  could play a factor. If you open Google Maps, you should be able to tell.

My Nest cam is mains driven and so don't have that option.   Re wifi...it has no way of knowing the relevance or location.
