Why can I see my doorbell or thermometer on my phone

My husband has access but I dont.  He try sending me an invite and that does not work.  Please advise.

You need to have a gmail account for a household invite to work in the Google Home app. Unfortunately, when you try sending the invite to a non-gmail account, the error message does not tell you that.

Thanks for reaching out. Aside from having a non Gmail Account, you can't invite anyone using a:

• Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) account.
• Google Account for children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country).
• and a maximum of 6 people can share a home.
