I'm super confused. I have two nest cameras and I recently upgraded to the new nest aware subscription because I was about to buy a third camera.
I just bought the new camera (Nest Indoor Wired) and not only do I need to use a different app to see the camera (google home??!) but it doesn't look like it's covered by my subscription.
Why can't I see the camera when I go to home.nest.com ? why do I need to use a second app? How do I get clips, etc.
Why did google bust up such a perfect ecosystem?!

It's by design! We're promised (!) at some point in the future all functionality will be available @ Google Home. No ETA. Why this isn't true on launch day I don't know. Why new cams can't be supported in Nest, and notifications not supported in Home, I also don't know. You'd think Google would have enough SW devs to solve this! 😜

Thank you for asking this. I bought 3 Nest Indoor Cams today to connect a elderly friend to my Nest account and it was a bit frustrating to discover that they won’t show up in the Nest app.

Hey, everyone.
What JBSD said is correct. The newer model cameras will only work with the Home app, as will all future Nest cameras and products. You can still manage the older cameras in the Nest app, but the future plan is to have all devices work in the Home app. I'm sorry for any confusion or inconvenience that has caused. If there's any other way in which I can help, please let me know.
Thanks.

Jeff, thank you for the answer and for checking in. Yes, things are set up. I do wish the Google Home app had more of the look/functionality of the Nest app, though. THANK YOU again. cheers!
