WiFi to Nest camera disabled!

Orbie

I installed six Google nest cameras around my home. One day I received a notification that one of them had been removed from where it was mounted

A neighbor discovered the camera had been removed and tossed around a corner. strangely, the only video I saw of a person approaching the camera. They were 20 feet away, and they were holding an iPad and they were facing this particular camera.
another one of my cameras captured this person walking all the way up to the camera. The timestamps indicated all of this happen within the same 60 seconds.

unfortunately, the second camera could only show the top of his head so I did not actually see his hand remove the camera.

The police said that without that kind of evidence I could not charge them.

I want to know why the camera that was knocked down did not record him as he approached the camera head on.

on further discussions with law-enforcement, it appears there is a way that tech savvy people are able to disable the Wi-Fi connection to a camera.

if this is the case, I want a refund on all six of my cameras and I need to get a security system that actually works.

This is a huge flaw.  I have a stalking no contact order in place and these cameras are there at the advisement of police and my attorney and they failed to do their job.
I would like some answers. I contacted Google and I am still waiting for them to get back to me.

Hi there Orbie,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I understand how frustrating it can be to have experienced issues with our Nest cameras. This definitely isn't the experience we want you to have with our products. Because of that, I'd like to know if you have a case number we can reference. That way, we can look into your situation and respond as soon as possible.

I appreciate your understanding.

Regards,
Angel.

The customer service rep I spoke with on 7/31/24  did not give me a case number. She told me she had escalated the issue to the legal department and that they would email me in 24 hours.

Hi Orbie,

Thanks for your reply.

Since you don't have the case number handy, I would suggest filling out this form. Doing so will allow my team to gather more information about your situation and determine the best course of action. After you fill out the form, please let me know. I’ll keep an eye out for your response so we can reach out to you via email as soon as possible.

I appreciate your patience.

Regards,
Angel

Hello again Orbie,

We haven’t seen your form submission come through - were you able to access it alright? Let us know if you’re running into trouble or still need our help.

Regards,

Angel.

I submitted the form twice. This is frustrating. Can we just do this via regular email because clearly those forms are not working

There must be another way for me to get help. I have submitted the form multiple times and I keep getting the same answer from you guys, claiming you never received the form.  The bottom line is there is a problem with these cameras. What do I have to do? I’m thinking about starting a class action lawsuit because Google is ignoring my request for answers, and I was the victim of a crime because of this .
