My wired nest doorbell does not alert me to cars in my driveway. It can notice people once they get put of the car, but it does not record cars. I am dumbfounded as to why the doorbell will not record the car until it sees a person. Its not the zones, and its wired so what could be the issue?Battery was the only option to make this post, but the doorbell is hard wired.

Go into the camera settings and you will see options to display motion people faces and so on is motion checked?

Its checked but still nothing. All of them are checked.

It still does not pick up cars coming down my driveway. It picks up lights from other cars at night, but not my own cars.

Hi there,
I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. Have you tried to set up Activity Zones specifically for cars? You can also mess around with the Activity Controls and that should also help you out! Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Best Regards,
Brad.

None of that has worked. I set the activity zones and sat in my car in the driveway. The doorbell showed nothing. It doesn't show me coming or going. It doesn't show the 5 other cars in my house coming or gong either. It only picks up people on the porch, or packages left on the porch. What is wrong with this technology? My Ring doorbell at work picks up everything, even the flies.

If those steps did not work for you, I would then suggest that you reach out to Support for further assistance.
Best regards,
brad.
