Need to change the Wi fi password for nest doorbell

Our doorbell was working fine. Got the Goggle wi fi system and renamed the network with the same name but changed the password. struggled to get all the speakers changed over. Some I had to delete from the home ap then re add  to update. I tried doing that with the doorbell, thinking it would work  . Trying to add it back the ap it finds the doorbell  , then I  scan the XR code and then it says it is looking for something to connect it and then never gives me the change to update the password before telling me it can not be added . I tried ,as it suggested ,turning the air plane mode off and on  , but it just won't let me re add it.  I just got Nest aware ao I am trying to not mess up that subscription. Very frustrating.

I don't know why they made the configuration so complicated but you have to remove the doorbell from your app, then reset your doorbell (with a clip on the back for 12 seconds) then add it again and start the configuration as new.

Restarting and factory resetting your Google Nest camera or doorbell will have different results:

 

Restart: Keeps all your settings, and it should reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever becomes frozen, has trouble reconnecting to the internet, or isn't working normally.

 

Factory reset: Erases all your settings and options, and restores its factory default settings. It will not automatically reconnect to Wi-Fi and you'll need to set it up again.
