When using the manual pairing code, the keypad only allows for numeric entry. The code above the QR code however contains alpha and numeric. Stumped in Texas

When you say "manual pairing code", do you mean you selected the "continue without scanning" option instead of scanning the QR code during the install process at about 2:50 in this install video (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/12570869?hl=en&sjid=9732028116105598055-NA)? (The install video doesn't show the "continue without scanning" option.) If so, it seems very peculiar for this to happen; all of the 6-character Setup Codes include both alpha and numeric characters. Do you have the latest version of the Google Home app?
If it persists, you could try contacting Support:

So, when in doubt reinstall the app and start over. It worked (even though I had updated it). It paired! Thx B

Thanks. The only other thing is I would like for my android phone to "ring" when someone presses the door bell. I do get a notification but it's easy to miss. Suggestions?

Hey sdoowbob,
One idea I can offer is for you to change the notification tone for the doorbell's alert. If the default notification sound isn't to your liking, you could assign one that's more in line with what you're looking for.
Thanks,
Jeff
