battery nest cam wont connect to wifi

I purchased two nest battery cameras from walmart. One of them works, the 2nd won't connect to wifi. I have Rebooted everything multiple times, done Factory resets and have been working on this issue for 3 days. I removed the one camera that connects to wifi from my account and tried to just get the Troublemaker camera to connect and it still won't. I am using Starlink on 2.4 GHz and my phone is on the same.
What else can I do? It makes no sense that one of them jumps right on on the Wi-Fi while the other one can't.

Does anybody know how I can get help with this issue?

Hi @SmithDJ,

Thanks for reaching out in the community! I'm sorry to hear that one of your Nest Cam (battery) devices is having trouble connecting to your Starlink Wi-Fi, especially after three days of troubleshooting. I really appreciate you putting in the effort with those workarounds. No worries, I'd be happy to help!
I'd like to ask you a few questions that will help me to share additional troubleshooting steps:

  • What's the exact error code that you see when you try to connect your camera to the Wi-Fi?
  • How far is the camera from the router?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the camera?
  • Could you describe the steps you took to perform the factory reset?
  • What color is the LED status light after performing a factory reset?

Let's start by checking the following:

  • Quit and restart the Google Home app.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is on. Turn Bluetooth off, then back on to refresh the connection.
  • Restart the mobile device or tablet.
  • Move the joining device and mobile device or tablet closer to the router or the router closer to the assisting product.
  • Put the mobile device or tablet on Airplane mode, then turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  • Try a different mobile device or tablet.

Please feel free to share any additional details you think might be relevant.

Best regards,
Eduardo
