camera issue

when viewing on my Android phone today, One of my six ADT security cameras says it's not working cuz the battery is empty. All six cameras are plugged in to working electric outlets. this is not acceptable and leaves serious security gaps. that same camera has gaps where known activity is missing. it will show activity then not show activity that happened immediately after and then show again activity immediately after the missing activity. this happens, for example, when people are working continuously in front of the camera. it also happens when a delivery truck is known to have driven and stopped infront of the camera, but only occasionally. The truck can be seen on other cameras. this is not acceptable and leaves serious security gaps. both of these problems have occurred more than once. The battery issue will eventually go away with no corrective action and then reoccur sometime later in the future.

Keith, a very dissatisfied customer.

Is the USB plug on your power cable clean and mounted securely on the bottom of the camera? Is it exposed to the rain?

We've had a battery camera--plugged in with the optional power cable--for over 4 years. Under Settings | Battery, it always shows as "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol. Our camera is mounted under a camera shade, which provides some protection from the elements. (That USB plug has always seemed somewhat flimsy to me.)
