Recently, I bought a Nest Floodlight Cam. While setting up the device, I kept getting stuck at the stage where it tries to connect to Wi-Fi.
After a few hours of troubleshooting, I discovered that the device itself wasn’t faulty — it could connect to a mobile hotspot without any issues. It turned out that neither the camera nor the router was the problem, but rather the internet provider (Odido NL) , which appears to block the camera’s connection.
My solution was to set up a second router and run it as a standalone network, not bridged with the modem/router combo provided by the ISP That worked!
I thought I’d share my experience in case it helps someone else stuck with the same issue
