i had a google nest camera connected in my home app.
today i plugged it in after not using for a while and realised i have since changed my wifi provider.
so i removed the device from my home app.
it wouldnt reconnect when i went through the set up process again so i followed factory re-set instructions on line.
however the light on my camera stays green.
even when i switch it on and off.
when i put the pin in the reset hole it does nothing.

When you factory re-set you have to hold the pin in the hole until it chimes a count down and then stays yellow. Then it will reboot. I did this with all of mine when I switched wifi and I am having the worse trouble getting these cameras to reconnect to Google Home. I hope you have better luck.

Thanks for your response Pam! Unfortnately, the light on the camera is green and no matter how long i hold the pin in it doesnt chime or turn yellow.

Hi folks,
Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that and for the delayed response here. No worries, we’ll sort this out — a few questions: what type of camera is in question? Is the camera plugged while you’re performing a factory reset? How far is the camera from the router? Also, what WiFi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?
Going over the steps here might help:
Let me know how it goes.
I appreciate the help, pamcline.
Thanks,
JT

Hey there,
