doorbell 2nd gen wired no lights after factory reset

Need to change the Wifi settings, but original phone lost.

Factory reset chimes ok but no light yellow, white or any other colour in the light below the camera.

The light above the camera flashes green and then goes dark.

Circle light stays blue.

Tried a few times with the same result.

Is this device broken or some solution available?

Hi mkendall,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the inconvenience that you are experiencing with the Nest Doorbell 2nd Gen (Wired). I understand how frustrating that situation can be. But don't worry, I can help. Just to confirm about the factory reset here are the steps that you try, right?

  1. Locate the reset pin hole on the back of the doorbell.
-The reset pin on the Nest Doorbell 2nd gen (wired) is located above the QR code on the back of the doorbell.
  2. Insert and hold the pin (you can use an unfolded paperclip or a thumbtack):
    • At 10 seconds, the status light will blink yellow four times, and you'll hear a countdown tone.
    • At 12 seconds, the status light will be steady, solid yellow while the doorbell starts the factory reset, and you'll hear a confirmation tone.
  3. Release the button. Your doorbell will restore to its factory settings.
  4. After the factory reset, your doorbell will appear as “Offline” in the app until you remove it.
  5. To remove it from the app, open the app, then tap Settings > Remove device > Confirm.

Please let me know if this works  or if you have any other questions.

You can check the "Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell" article for detailed information.

Regards,

Jenny
