Hi @bg14

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand you want to get announcements from your Nest Wired Doorbell. That's a really useful feature! Here's how to set it up.

First, you'll need to connect your devices to the Amazon Alexa app. Follow these steps:

  • In the Alexa app, tap the three lines in the top left and select 'Add device.'
  • Select a device.
  • When it asks for the brand, choose 'Google Nest.'
  • You'll see 'Connect your Nest device to Alexa' and four steps. At the bottom, tap 'Continue.'
  • This will open a Google sign-in page. Use the same sign-in you used when you migrated.
  • You'll see a list of your devices, and you can choose which ones to control with Alexa. Use the blue switches to turn on the ones you want. You don't have to connect them all.
  • Tap 'Accept.'
  • Tap 'Done' to close the window.
  • The next screen will say 'Discover Devices.' Tap the blue 'Discover devices' button at the bottom.

Once your device is linked to Amazon Alexa, you can continue with the setup. For more help, check out the article 'Control Google Nest products with Amazon Alexa.'

Let me know if this helps! I'm happy to answer any other questions you have.

Best regards,

Debora
