nest aware cameras offline while I'm out traveling

I bought two Nest indoor cameras 3 months ago to watch my pets and for security while I'm out traveling. First month they worked fine no issues, last month they start getting offline randomly and I have to restart the cameras and set them up again every time. In order to do this my phone needs to be close the cameras.

Now I'm 1500 miles away from home and they went offline, I need to get them connected to my phone from distance.

How can I do this?

What is the purpose of getting this cameras if they don't work as expected and easily get disconnected?

I know this might not be helpful but when I was having issues with cameras going offline it actually turned out to be my router that had some conflicting settings.  Is it possible for you to remotely reboot your router to see if that allows them to reconnect?
