Glad you got it working.  I have sent many requests for Google to issue a better error message telling people that ONLY gmail accounts work.  And here we are years later and they still haven't fixed it.

Agreed.  "Can't send invite right now" should say something like "A Google (gmail) Account is required for an invitation."

I went ahead and  reported it again.  But I image the backlog at this point must be enormous.  Fingers crossed they fix this one as it will take a programmer all of 30  seconds to fix this.
