We replaced our hardwired doorbell with Nest camera (this works fine) and wired it to chimes (also replaced w/a Newhouse mechanical doorchime) but the chimes are weak or non-existent. Chimes work fine when camera doorbell is removed and wires are connected outside. We replaced the transformer (10v) with a 30VA-120V-16V) transformer but the chime is still weak. Apparently a voltage problem. Any suggestions.

I had the same issue. Try setting your door bell chime duration to 2 or 3 seconds (from the app). Despite the setting stating it is only for electronic chimes, it worked for me.

Unbelievably, the perfect solution. It now works fine - a great 1 minute fix. Many thanks.
