pink image during daytime viewing

I bought 2 of the nest cameras with flood lights. both worked fine on day 1 but on the 2nd day the one at the front of the house displays a pink image during the daytime. night time image is good. the one in the back looks good both day and night. I checked night vision and it is set to auto. Any ideas??

This may not fix your situation, but when this happened to one of our Google Nest cameras some time ago, turning the Night Vision setting off and on and then back to auto resolved the problem. (When it first occurred, we had not touched the Night Vision setting; it had just starting malfunctioning all on its own.)

Thx for the response. I gave that a try several times but i get the same result. It seems like the first time it switched to night vision it hasnt been able to switch it off. Still an issue not sure if it is the camera itself...

@CrowdedHouse

There are a bunch of postings in this forum about cameras with a pink hue, with mixed results.  One customer's problem just spontaneously disappeared.

This Google Help topic says:

Video has a pink, purple or blue tint.

  • This can happen if your camera gets too hot or too cold.
    Do not use indoor cameras outside. They're not designed for outdoor use and have an operating temperature range for indoor environments.
    Place outdoor cameras under eaves or in shady spots so they don't overheat during very hot weather.
    Your camera's video might also have a pink, blue or purple hue if there's a problem with the Night Vision.

Hey CrowdedHouse,

I'm sorry for the delay. To confirm, have you tried relocating your Nest Cam with Floodlight to a different location? Also, try unplugging the camera from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, and plug the camera back in.

Thanks,

Archie
