"Couldn't Turn On" activity zone

Kharma2001

I have nest aware - fully paid.

I am setting up a new nest (wired, indoor) camera and when I try to turn on an activity zone - it spins around thinking about it and eventually says "couldn't turn on"....

Any help would be appreciated! I don't want notifications for every time we walk by the darn thing - but we want to know all activity in a specific zone. But nest aware hates us.

Why can't google keep all the nest products in the nest app? It's much better! Either way, I am close to returning 2K worth of cameras, locks and devices because the amount of time I'm spending to simply set up basic functions is pathetic. Given googles resources, they should be able to create a user-friendly UI for their products!

Hi Kharma2001, The first thing that comes to mind is to see if you are on the newest version of the Google Home App.  If you go to the App Store and search for the app it will either say OPEN which means no update or it will say UPDATE in which case you should do the update and see if that fixes the problem.

If that doesn't work you may want to open an official support ticket so that you have a google tech helping.  This is just user forum and the google folks to respond here.  Here is the link:

Please return here and let us know what the problem was. it may help other people.
