Hi Sernad,

Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out.

A few questions: What type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the LED light status (solid or flashing white)? What is the make and model of your mobile phone?

Give these steps a try:

  1. Make sure the the Chromecast device is plugged into a power outlet, rather than the USB port.
  2. For Android phones, make sure the Location Services is turned on.
  3. For iOS devices, make sure Bluetooth and Local Network Access is turned on.
  4. If you have a dual band router, make sure your phone is connected to the same network connection as your Chromecast.
  5. Force close the Google Home app.
  6. Reinstall the Google Home app.
  7. Reboot your router, Chromecast, and mobile phone.
  8. Use a different mobile device.
  9. Perform a factory reset on your Chromecast.
  10. Manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone’s Settings > Open WiFi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Jennifer
