Accidentally selected to chromecast from android with no device to cast to

Please help. I was uploading a photo from Google Photo app on android phone. I was doing this because for some reason it was showing as partially uploaded in google photos on laptop. At some point I managed to accidentally select to cast instead of upload (multiple photos are impacted). I have no device to cast to. When I click on the cast icon on the photo on my phone it doesn't give me the option to stop casting - it has constantly been saying "Cast to  - Finding devices". It's not going to ever find a device. How can I  stop it trying to find one - so that I can stop casting? I've turned off phone, turned off wifi, put phone on flight mode - it still keeps trying. I just want to stop it casting so I can upload - which is what I wanted to do. I cannot do that while it is trying to cast. Thanks very much

Hi Kokokoko,

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. If you click the cast icon and it tries to find a device but fails, it means it didn’t find a casting device (Chromecast device, Android TV, etc.). Clicking that cast icon will do that over and over. The cast icon is not your option to do what you want to do. Give our friends at Google Photos Help Community a shout. They're the best team to help you with your Google Photos concerns.
