Any way to setup chrome cast without a remote, stuck on the part to pair the remote

( DO NOT KNOW WHAT GENERATION ) Dad recently found chrome cast from wherever he got it from. Has everything but remote, the chrome cast works perfectly fine. But I’m stuck on the part where I need to connect the remote with the cast. But don’t have the remote to pair it. Is there any way to pair it without?

No, setup requires the voice remote I'm afraid. Replacements are available on the Google Store:

In the odd chance that you have one, some people have said that a Fire TV remote will work just enough to get you past that screen.

But, as David said, ordering a replacement from Google is definitely the way to go.
