I use the casting function with a variety of apps, and this happens it all of them. Disney+, Pocketcasts, HBO Max, Netflix, Spotify, Plex etc
I will cast content from the Android app on my Pixel 7 Pro to my Chromecast Ultra connected by cable to the internet, and after some time, depends, I will no longer have the controls in the dropdown menu, and I will have to open the app I was using, reconnect and then get controls back. In some cases also losing progress history on the movie, podcast etc in question.
Battery optimization turned off on the respective content apps.
What can be done to amend this?

Hey HeXeY,
Great question! Since there could be many factors affecting your casting performance, here are some suggestions:
Some phone settings, like Data Saver, Battery Saver, or background app restrictions, might interfere with casting. Ensure casting apps don't have any settings that might hinder their background activity.
Let me know if these suggestions work for you.
Kindly,

Chromecast is wired in, as I originally wrote. The other casting devices I use are all connected to the same, stable, WiFi.
Battery optimization and (other restrictions) that can be turned off already has been, as mentioned in the original post. Unless they're hidden in even more menus I haven't found.
Restarts performed multiple times, no change
Everything is up to date

Hi there HeXeY,
Thanks for the update.
With everything up-to-date, let's gather some additional details to pinpoint the cause of the desynchronization.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Angel.
