I have a Samsung digital TV with a google dongle and an iPad that I use to cast YouTube videos. Recently I have noticed that when viewing Newsmax Live programs the audio goes out of sync with the video so that a person speaking will not have his or her lips in sync with the voice. If I “disconnect” the YouTube video from the TV and listen/watch on the iPad, sync is fine. Them if I reconnect to the TV, the sync starts off good, but gradually goes off. I suspected the google dongle might be the problem, and thought it was pretty warm (it has been warm from the very first use a year ago) so I took out one of those physical cold therapy wraps from our refrigerator’s freezer compartment, and wrapped it around the dongle. That didn’t seem to help, and I am wondering what the problem could be. The sync problem doesn’t happen with YouTube videos like the Scotty Kilmer car repair and other do-it-yourself videos. I would appreciate any suggestions.
Hey there tjjfitz,
I'm real sorry about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you still having these audio issues? If so, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:
I look forward to your response, and if you had any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
To add onto the last post I made, if you are still experiencing these issues, would you be able to tell me the firmware version of your Chromecast? Also, if you had the time, would you be able to re-create that issue and submit feedback to us with logs enabled? You can enter CCT3 Audio Video sync as the description, so you don't need to enter one in.
We haven't heard back from tjjfitz, and it's been a few days, so I'm locking the thread. As always, feel free to make a new thread if you have any more questions or concerns.
Have a good one!
