Audio cuts out during Netflix streaming video. MacBook Pro to Pioneer flatscreen to Klipsh speaker.

Also happens in Amazon Prime streaming. Usually about 20 minutes into a film. if I get up and toggle the volume control on the speaker the sound will resume. But 20 minutes later it will lose audio again.

Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out.

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? When did the issue start? What browser are you using? Try the steps below:

  1. Close all open browser tabs and restart the Chrome browser.
  2. Make sure your casting device has an updated OS or has the Chrome browser installed.
  3. Reboot your MacBook Pro and speaker.
  4. Try to remove your speaker and check if the same issue will persist
  5. Disable Allow all sites to initiate mirroring.
  6. Reboot your Chromecast.
