Black screen with no audio when I want to cast from my android tablet to Chromecast

Hello !

I have a black screen with no audio when I want to cast from my Lenovo android tablet to Chromecast.
I ve tried with my Windows 11 laptop and i can mirror my screen to Chromecast TV - so it should be related to my Android Tablet.

I have checked the google home / services google play permissions, reboot, etc.. but the issue remains

Thanks for your help!

Hello Benzaf,

Thanks for reaching out. To confirm, are you trying to mirror your Lenovo tablet's screen or you would like to cast a video content from the app on your phone to the TV? Try the additional steps below:

  1. Make sure that your Lenovo Android Tablet is updated.
  2. Check proximity of TV to the tablet and Wi-Fi router. Ideally, they should be less than 15 to 20 feet (4 to 6 meters) apart from each other, with one or no walls in between.
  3. Disconnect and reconnect your tablet from the Wi-Fi network.
  4. Check if your tablet has a power saving setting. If it's enabled, disable it.

On the other hand, to allow your Android device to cast its screen, turn on the microphone permission in the Google Play Services app. Also, make sure your tablet is running on Android 8.0 or later.

Jennifer

Hi

Thank you for your response

I try to mirro my tablet's screen using the casting option, to my chromecast device.

I already did all the options you mentioned. I have tried with a third part app and it works.. so I guess the issue is related to a google home parameter or others

Thanks

Hello there,

Thanks for getting back to us. Could you please try to uninstall the Google Home app and reboot your tablet, then reinstall it? Once done, check out this support website article to see the steps on how to mirror your Android screen from the Google Home app.

Best,

Jennifer

Hi

I tried recently and the cast still doesn't work. I use a third party app and i managed to mirror my tablet. So i assume the issue is related to the google home or a casting parameter..

i don't need additional help, thanks to all for your support!
