Bought 2 Chromecasts, one works, other one gives problems.

Hi there,

Just bought and installed 2 Chromecasts. One in the living room tv, one in the bedroom tv.

Installation was ok for both devices. Both devices use the same Wifi.

I want to stream the video from several apps on my android phone to the Chromecast. In the living room all ok.

The bedroom Chromecast is causing problems. Youtube streaming from my phone works. As does phone mirroring. But when I try to stream the video of my TV provider it only shows the logo of the channel but no video. This same app video streaming works in the living room.

Already rebooted (factory reset) the bedroom Chromecast twice but no help.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

Hey there Dndjnbdzbgfid,

I apologize about the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that casting issue? If not, I'd be happy to help you figure this out! In this case, the first thing I would recommend is that you clear out the cached app data for the TV provider's app, as well as the Google Home app. There may be something cached in one of the apps files that may be affecting casting to that specific device.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
