Can’t connect device to chromecast.

Ive updated my iOS and I’ve tried to stream/cast via my iPhone on to my chromecast tv but it won’t  connect anymore. It did work before the update but now it always fails to connect. I’ve reset the WiFi and I’ve reset the chromecast. Both are connected to the same WiFi. Both are in range just like before. I’m using the latest version of iOS and google home. I don’t know what else to try

Phil87, to clarify, are you having an issue casting a video content from your iPhone to your Chromecast? If yes, are you getting any messages when casting? Is this happening across all apps? Please make sure the Local Network Access is enabled on your phone and try to reboot your mobile device. Using a different mobile phone and rebooting your Chromecast might also help.

 

cKay, it looks like you've also created your own thread in the Community and I already replied to it. You may check your thread and provide the needed info so we can further assist you. Let's continue from there.

Yes I can’t cast anything from my phone. It’s happening across apps. Local access is enabled. I’ve done all the trouble shooting already. I’ve done multiple factory resets etc. when I try to connect to “prime movie” the app just instantly closes. When I try to connect from Spotify it says: failed to connect.

Thanks for getting back to us. Please try to turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile phone and try to reset your Chromecast again. Observe the behavior and let me know how it goes.
