Can't get subtitles for Handmaids Tale on Chromcast

Why can't I get subtitles on my Samsung TV on Chromecast, when trying to view The Handmaids Tale?

If you're watching the movie from a source which provides subtitles in text format, like SRT, you won't be able to cast the subtitles, because they are superimposed over the website movie screen and, actually, you are casting (streaming) the movie content only.

In order to be able to cast the movie with subtitles, the subtitles are required to be formatted as closed captions, which is a dedicated format which also includ color codes and overlays.

Hello Serendipity,

No worries and thanks for getting back to us. The subtitle can only show when casting if this is available on the app that you are using. You may try to go to the app settings and check if subtitle or close captioning option is available.
