Cast button is gone on app

It won’t allow me to cast from certain apps the button is gone, but others work fine.  It was working last night, and today it’s not working again. I tried resetting and deleting.  How can I get it back?

Thanks for reaching out. Let's sort this out. 

 

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? What apps are you experiencing this issue? What’s the make and model of the device you use to cast?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Make sure you're casting from a Chromecast-enabled app.
  2. Completely close the app(s), then reopen.
  3. Make sure the app you're having an issue with is updated.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the affected app.
  5. Reboot your Wi-Fi router.
  6. Reboot your Chromecast.
  7. Forget and reconnect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network where the Chromecast is connected to.
  8. Try to cast from another mobile device to isolate if it's a device issue.
  9. Reboot your mobile phone.
  10. Perform another factory reset on the Chromecast device.
