Casting video has bad or no audio. Have to pause video for 20 to 30 seconds then play for audio

I work in K12 where every classroom has a Chromecast with GoogleTV installed.  When casting a video (YouTube, Rumble, Google Drive file, etc...) the video will start with no audio or a popping sound.  If you pause the video for 20 to 30 seconds then play again, the audio will be there.  YouTube is the worst with commercials because Ad's won't have audio and when it returns to video again, audio is gone.  This happens on Chromecasts w\GoogleTV with Cast Moderator or setup normally.  This happens on every version of ChromeOS I've tried from 119 down to 114.  This happens on home network as well as school network.  It's only been going on for about 2 weeks.  It's also a nightmare to get in contact with Google Support to report an issue.

Hi wjohnsondcps,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We’re sorry for the delay in response. You must be casting from a Chrome browser on a computer. Kindly try casting from a smartphone or tablet and use cast-enabled apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, etc. to see if the Chromecast device is working as intended. If it works, then this is isolated to the Chrome browser. I suggest you give our friends at the Google Chrome Help Community a shout. They may know a particular setting that can be toggled in Chrome://flags, or they may have a workaround for this.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Kimy
