Chrome cast- connect to device

Hello! 
I am unable to cast google photos on my Chrome Cast. I can cast other things but not google photos. This is the message I get. But my Local Network Permission is turned on. Any suggestions?

Hi folks,

 

Thanks for reaching out. To show photos on a TV with Chromecast see the steps below. 

 

Note: Before you start, make sure your device is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.

  1. Open the Google Photos app Photos.
  2. Sign in to your Google Account.
  3. Select the photo or album you want to cast, and then, at the top right, select Cast .
  4. Select your Chromecast.
  5. Open a photo or video on your device to display it on your TV. You can swipe between photos to change what's displayed.

To stop casting, tap Cast  and then Disconnect.

Hi Larphillips,

 

Since all other apps work, it’s possible that this is not related to the actual Chromecast device. Try to clear the cache and reinstall the app. Rebooting the phone also helps. If it still persists, try casting Google Photos using a different phone or device. Let us know how it goes.
