Chrome cast not casting

Hi there,

 

We are having problems every time we try to use the chrome cast. 

The light is white. It is connected to our WiFi. Same WiFi that my phone is connected to. 

However, every single time we try and use it we either can’t, or the casting sign suddenly shows up ages after trying - I’ve unplugged it etc. 

It always shows as disconnected on the Google app even when casting too. 

any ideas? Feels like a waste of money tbh

I apologize about the slow response time, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that casting issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I know it's hard to troubleshoot these issues with so many factors involved. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • Are you connected to a 2.4GHz network, or a 5GHz network?
  • If you are connected to a 5GHz network, is the channel range set to a lower range? (36-48)
  • Are you cable to connect using another device, such as a computer or tablet?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
