I use Google Chrome cast from more than 2 years and suddenly it cannot find devices to connect with. The Wi -fi connection in ok, i rebooted the system but it still doesn't work.

The same situation with me as well in exactly the same fashion as you describe. Also Chromecast Generation 1.

Wonder if this is a deliberate attempt by Google to get users to upgrade or if someone failed to run compatibility tests of new patches with the older generation. Hope that someone can fix this quickly!
