Chromecast Google TV does not go in standby

Hello everyone! It seems that my Chromecast HD with google tv doesn't go in standby mode. Even if the TV is turned off, the Chromecast appears to be perpetually online and streaming content (which I just can't see because the TV is off), except when I unplug it from the power supply. I attach a couple of screenshots of the Google Home app, from which I can control the Chromecast and possibly stream content even if the screen is off. Is it a normal behaviour?

Hi arma988,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We’re sorry for the delay in response. Chromecast with Google TV, just like its older versions, is always available for casting as long as it's plugged in. It may standby when not in use (built-in apps), but it will still be ready to receive cast commands at any time. This means casting to a Chromecast with Google TV would even cause an interruption to whatever activity it has at the moment.

I hope this sheds some light on the situation. Let us know if you still have questions.

Thanks,

Kimy
