Chromecast Youtube consistent crashing

I can cast youtube for a couple of minutes then it simply returns to the chromecast home screen with no notifications. Have tested with other apps (Netflix, BBC iPlayer,  Vimeo) and no such issues occur. Any ideas? Thanks

Check your phone's battery optimization settings and ensure that YouTube application listed under applications that will be put to sleep.
