Hi There,

Happy Christmas.

Recently a wired problem popped up while casting Streaming Video from Android Phone.

The Problem is : After switching on my TV, I cannot see any thing like the letter 'G; loading and Wallpaper but a black screen with 'No Signal' message.

When I open Prime, Netflix or Youtube in android phone, I can see the cast option. After casting also, I only see 'No Signal'.

I tried the steps provided in the trouble shoot guide but noting helped.

Appreciate, If you can guide me to solve this problem.Chromecast Gen 1Chromecast Gen 1

It almost sounds like your TV is set to the wrong input (source) port.  Make 100% sure that you have it correct.

You might also try plugging your Chromecast into another TV or another HDMI port on your TV (in case the port on your TV has gone bad).

Otherwise... try factory resetting your Chromecast as a last-resort.

If none of those work, your 1st Generation Chromecast may have finally died.   There is nothing you can do to get it fixed.  Since that model hasn't been sold since 2015 you have MORE than got your money's worth out of it.  You may want to consider getting one of the new models.  The new models have a lot better WiFi radios in them, more processing power, and more memory.  Also, the new round designs with a flexible port cable put a lot less stress on the TV's port and fit better in tight situations.   All good reasons to upgrade now.

Good luck.
