Chromecast is not getting powered on despite of connecting with the provided charger

Our Chromecast won't connect to the tv. It keeps saying no signal. We've checked the wifi and turned it off and on with the cast also off and rebooted it. The light on the side won't work either. I've tried to reboot it with the button but it doesn't work. Any help??

If the light on the side won't turn on, try a different charger and cable.

Of course, also check the power-outlet you are plugged into.

If none of that works, your Chromecast device has died.  I'm sorry.  If you really have a 1st Generation device (the key-shaped one) you are well out of warranty.  But, you've also received years and years and YEARS of use.

Consider upgrading to a newer model.  They have much better hardware inside including new WiFi radios that connect better and transfer data faster.  ALso, the new designs fit better behind modern TVs.

I have already tried it with many other chargers but it is not getting powered on.
