I’m trying to factory reset a Chromecast. Online it says to press and hold down on the devices name as the first step. I can’t hold down the button. It immediately opens the device so there is no pop up and I can’t press settings within the pop up. There is no settings when the device is opened in my Google Home. Pressing settings just on my home page doesn’t work. How do I factory reset?

I apologize for the late response, and thank you for being patient! Were you able to factory reset your Chromecast? If not, I'd be happy to help out. Here are the two ways to perform a factory reset:
Note: This option is only available if you're on the same network your Chromecast was set up on.
While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV, hold down the button on the side of the Chromecast. The LED should begin to blink orange. When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast should then restart.
