I have a pixel 6 phone and a 3rd gen Chromecast device. I changed out my modem and router recently and I am now getting conflicting messages on my devices. My Chromecast says it can't connect to wifi and my pixel says the Chromecast needs to be activated before use and sends me here. There is no way to find it as a wifi device or anything else.

If you're still experiencing problems, you may try to reboot your Chromecast and mobile phone. using a different mobile phone such as a non Pixel or non Android device to set up your Chromecast might also help.
