I am in a hotel and the chromecast sees the network, trys to connect to the network, but it fails to connect. There is a password in the network, but idk how to add that when it is searching. My phone already connects to it.

Hi Rddragonhart69,

If the hotel network is a 'captive portal' type network that requires a username and password to be entered on a login page then a Chromecast can not connect with this type of network. If it could it would probably be available for anyone else on the network to control.

Other users have reported using either a travel router or a shared connection from a mobile device or computer in this situation.

Cathal
