Chromecast remote #2 failed after months of working

Hello Jimkc,

 

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Chromecast Voice Remote. 

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new AAA batteries and do not use lithium-ion or any other batteries with rated voltage above 1.5 V.
  2. Remove the Voice Remote batteries and wait for 5 minutes.
  3. Factory reset the Chromecast with Google TV and the Voice Remote.

Got help via online directions to reset the Chromecast rather than the remote control and now all devices areworking.  That’s why my Google stock went up 7.66% today!
