My chormecast remote is showing a solid light.

Changed the battery, tried to paid as suggested ( taking the battery out, putting it again while holding the home button...) did not work.

What is the solution?

Hi Hossein_4550,

Thanks for reaching out. Solid white light in your Chromecast means that the microphone is on or a firmware update is applying. If your remote is still not working, please try the steps listed below:

  1. Download the Google TV app or Google Home app on your phone (You should be able to pair it with the Chromecast device).
  2. Once done, using your phone to navigate, check for pending remote software updates. Go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Remote update > Continue. The remote may briefly disconnect during the software update.
  3. Forget the Chromecast Voice Remote. Go to Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Chromecast Remote > Forget.
  4. Pair the remote. Go to  Settings > Remotes and Accessories > Pair remote or accessory and follow the instructions on the TV.
Note: If applicable, you may also press the button on the Chromecast device for 1 second for the pairing to start.
  5. Factory reset your Chromecast and Chromecast Voice Remote.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Jennifer
