Chromecast remote

The lst few days my chromecast remote has either frozen or several buttons (usually the circle on top or the volume) quit working.  Pullign batteries doesn help.  Disconnecting the chromecast for one minute and then rebooting does allow the remote to work..but only for a day and we have to go throughthe entire process again.  Can this ever be fixed or do I need a new remote and how do I get one.

Install Google Home 2.46.17 application update which includes a software remote control, then re-pair the hardware remote control.

Getting a remote control replacement us possible only in countries were Google store is available. If it is not available in your country, like in mine, you have to wait and hope that eventually Google will understand to make the new G10 and G12 reference remotes widely available on all retail channels.
