Recently installer a Chromecast at my mom's. Connected to a newer Hisense Android tv. Which wasn't that good. She called me today and said that she was getting a solid green color and the remote wouldn't work. I restarted it and told her it was fixed. She called me later and said it happened again and now the screen is orange. I tried changing some settings on the tv and changed HDMI ports but it happened again. Any ideas?
Thanks

Try the Chromecast device on another TV. If it work ok, it may be a TV related issue, like HDMI handshake failure.
Some TVs have older HDMI versions, like 1.3, which require updates.
A minimum of HDMI 1.4 support will be sufficient.

Have you checked for an update to your Hisense TV model?
Put the issue on Hisense support page also.

I have the same problem. Initially, it used to happen once a month and these days, quite a few times a day.
The screen turns green out of nowhere and once I unplug and do reset, works normally for a while or perhaps few days.

Use the original power supply.

It's newer hisense TV with HDMI 2. I reset the Chromecast and once I went through the setup it happened again. I plugged it into another tv and it worked.
