Chromecast with Google TV on a projector

Hi! 

I would like to connect Chromecast to my Artlii T20 projector (2017). It worked with older versions of Chromecast, but I wonder if it would still be compatible with the 4rth generation. I have been to two different electronic stores. One says that it would not and another that it would as Chromecast enables recycling old devices. Thank you for your help!

It's not supported by Google, but as long as the projector has a HDMI input, it should work.
