Our Chromecast remote stopped working. The dongle works, but the remote does not. Light comes on but it does not start TV or have any effect on the Chromecast. I would like to apply for warranty, but following the links takes my wife and I in a big circle (so many times). So frustrating. I would have bought another unit to replace it (not 6 months old), but given how awful the warranty process has been, I don't think I can support Google again. Help!?

Yes, sorry, I replied to the email by mistake. "You Rock" was the reply. I followed your instructions, and it all working again. Honestly, I was very close to putting it in the rubbish bin.
