Every time I use my Chromecast I have to reset it. No problems casting from it when it's connected but that's the problem. When I go to set up a device it can't find it until I reset the Chromecast. In this scenario every time I do that all the rooms that were assigned are erased. Of course they're using the same WIFI, that's why when it's reset it works. It never used to do this, I could move it from room to room and just click on the room now I have to reset it every single time. Now I'm thinking about moving away from Chromecast and finding a different streaming device as the Chromecast may be outdated now!

When this problem occurs, what color is the LED light on the Chromecast? If the Chromecast is running into an error, it could appear via this light. Follow the link I've provided to see what troubleshooting steps you're told to follow with your corresponding light.
