Me and my family have been using a chromecast for years and lately it has been acting very buggy, it will have problems streaming and can even not be an option for casting. Our other chrome cast works just fine. We've tried resetting the wifi to no improvement. What can we do to fix it?

i don't know if this helps you but
1. do a hardware reset to your chromecast, search it in google
2. if 1 didnt work, try another wifi, or reset your wifi conection
3. if 1 and 2 doesnt work, try through another phone ( you told me all your familly use it, then, they use different phones i guess, then phone wont be the problem MAYBE )
4. update your android version and router firmware, if nothing of this works try a new chromecast and keep it as a backup, i dont know what else to tell you

A few questions — are you getting any messages when streaming or casting from your phone to your TV? What is the make and model of the phone you're using for casting? What type of Chromecast device do you have?
