Hello! I am a pastor - a one-man show including casting the music; we now use Chromecast, casting from my YouTube Music app on my Pixel 6 -- broadcasting through our projector mounted on the ceiling via HDMI/Chromecast -- to play the songs. I have to start/stop each song to do what comes in between -- scripture, the sermon, etc. Each time I return to the Music app to play a next song in that day's library, I have to reconnect the Chromecast icon (because I had to disconnect it after the prior music piece or it would keep playing the next piece -- even though I have autoplay off). It's tricky. Here's the question: When I click on the Chromecast icon to turn it back on, it starts to play the song before the music comes over the loudspeakers, and hence, the song is a few seconds advanced and I have to drag the circle back to the beginning to start it over -- awkward fumbling is the result. I can't start the song first, because it's not over the loudspeaker until Chromecast is started, but then when I push the Chromecast icon and connect it, the song starts automatically. I need to find a way to keep the song on pause until the Chromecast is connected and I am live. Help!

Hi DianaV,
Thanks for reaching out. To clarify, is the audio delay? Would you like to play the song after you hit the cast button? To play, pause, or navigate with the scrollbar, use your device as you normally would to control playback. You can also check this support website article.
Thanks,
Jennifer
